Equality Belongs On The Field
Team Equality League Enforcers represent Equality League, an organization that advances safe and equal access to sport for women and girls worldwide. This team believes in sport and its benefits for all. And they believe we can achieve it by changing discriminatory laws and cultural practices and beliefs.
This is how the team will take action for the Goal
Leading a coalition in support of Equal Pay and Opportunities for the US Women's National Soccer Team and women in football around the world.
Equality League partnered on the "Sport for Human Rights Award" honoring the Iranian stadium activists who work to stop the 40-year-old ban that excludes the 41 million women of Iran as spectators of men's football matches.
The team manage and ask you to sign the #NoBan4Women petition with nearly 300,000 supporters worldwide.
You may have read the tragic news that a young Iranian woman self-immolated rather than face a prison term after being arrested for disguising herself as a man to watch sport.
We are proud to advance women's rights through sport - on this issue which denies their rights to gather in public spaces and participate in society fully. Our Global Goals World Cup team will play for SDG5 and to raise support against this gender discrimination, – Mara Gubuan, Founder and Coalition-Builder.
