Who can join the team?

• Any woman who is 18 years and up are invited to play. Each team is a minimum of 5 and maximum 8 women.

• The team captain sign up the team. When you sign up the team, you will be asked which Global Goal you’re playing for and why. You will also be asked about the Team’s bio and name.

• It is free to sign up, but the number of team spots may limited. We will let you know if your team has qualified as soon as the final team selection is made.

• It is free to sign up. Please note that all teams are most likely responsible for covering all of your own fees relating to your visa, travel and accommodation.

Your team has qualified!

When you qualify, we will invite you and your team to an online team workshop with founder Majken Gilmartin and a team from the country host team.

You will be introduced to the GGWCUP point system, and we will discuss your team’s action plans in order to strengthen your trainings and ambitions to reach the teams goals (and Global Goal) best possible.

In the workshop everyone also gets a chance to introduce ourselves. Before the workshop you will receive a Team Guide.

After our workshop, you will find your team profile on the GGWCUP website. We will update your profile with your actions, and your fans can comment, cheer and help you score action points. We will later ask you to share a team profile picture.

About the GGWCUP

The GGWCUP is a five-aside football tournament for all-women teams from all walks of life and all skill levels. On match day, your 5-8 women team will play matches that last 6 minutes.

The teams you will play, might have different football experiences than your team—and they might be older or younger than you. Always play at a level that will allow everyone to be the best player they can be.
