We are thrilled to bring the Global Goals World Cup to Nigeria for the first time, in partnership with 17GoalsAfrica.
This event is a unique opportunity to engage and empower all Nigerians to join the Global Goal movement to create a more sustainable and equitable world for all.

Ambassadors
Amb. Mary Beth Leonard
Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard officially received representatives of the GGWCUP SDG Ball, and pledged support for the initiative on March 17th, 2020.
The SDG Ball was unveiled at the U.S Embassy when the delegation, including Joke Silva MFR (UN GGWCUP Team Leader), Comfort Lamptey (UN Women Representative), Lansana Wonneh (UN Women Deputy Representative), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire (Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on SDGs), and Tonye Cole (Sahara Group), paid a courtesy visit to raise awareness about the 5v5 GGWCUP tournament to take place in Lagos to empower women and girls taking action for a just and equitable future.
The U.S Mission in Nigeria has so far sent two women to one of its most prized activities, the espnW Global Sports Mentoring Program, which empowers women, girls, and marginalized persons by paring international emerging women leaders with senior female executive at top U.S organization for a five week mentorship experience.
Head of French Development Agency, Mr. Antoine Le Bihan
On Tuesday December 21, 2021, 17 Goals team paid a courtesy visit on the French Development Agency (AFD) at Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Place, Ikoyi, Lagos, towards forging a partnership for support and making the Global Goals World Cup Nigeria 2022 an all-round success.
The Head of Missions of the Agency, Mr. Antoine Le Bihan, accepted to partner with 17 Goals for the success of the project and outlined a number of other areas of partnership and collaboration to support the good work that 17 Goals is doing.
Meetings with CoolFM and Permanent Secretary
