In this session I will be joined by my good friend Denise Koorevaar. Denise is a goalkeeper that has played professionally in the Netherlands and Division 1 in Sweden. She is a fantastic goalkeeper coach, strength coach and has played in the GGWCUP.
We will discuss the attributes of the modern goalkeeper. Today goalkeepers block shots, have aerial command, improved ball handling, are incredibly athletic, position themselves higher up the field in attacking phases, act as a coach on the field with constant communication, and play a big role in the build up/attacking transition with their distribution with their hands/feet.
Denise and I will be focusing on different passing/distribution exercises you can do both as a goalkeeper and fieldplayer; challenging your foot-eye and hand-eye coordination. We will continue to exchange knowledge within our positions in order to create an innovative session and pass it on to you. This session is dedicated to Global Goal 17 Partnerships For The Goals.
