Team Silverback Divas will play for Global Goal 5 - Gender Equality
Team Silverback Divas is a group of women from the Uganda Tourism Board - Visituganda.
The Government of Uganda strives to create an economy that is inclusive of all Ugandans, regardless of gender, sex or age, in the attainment of economic growth and prosperity.
The government thus mainstreams gender and equity budgeting in its development process that seeks to address all barriers hindering active participation and access of women, children, boys and girls to gainful opportunities and resources.
As a government institution, UTB’s role in the promotion of inclusive growth through creation of equal opportunities in the tourism sector is by addressing issues and concerns of marginalization, discrimination, injustice, exclusion, unfairness and inequality in access to tourism resources, services and benefits.
