Team Let Gaza Live promote football as a sport for everyone
We are a group of women from the Gaza Refugee camp in Jerash, Jordan where the realm of football and sport is primarily reserved for men and boys. We believe that sports are for everyone and we will play for Goal 5 until all women and girls in the camp have equal opportunity to participate in sports, to play sports, and to watch sports.
The Gaza camp is home to some 30,000 refugees and their descendants who were forced to flee their homes in the aftermath of the 1967 Arab-Israeli war.
The camp is the poorest of the ten Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, where the many thousands don’t have formal identity papers and therefore almost no access to work opportunities or health care. Women and children bear the brunt of the challenges and risks associated with displacement.

نحن مجموعة من النساء من مخيم غزة للاجئين في جرش-الأردن ، حيث يتم تخصيص عالم كرة القدم والرياضة بشكل أساسي للرجال والفتيان. نؤمن بأن الرياضة للجميع وسنلعب من أجل الهدف 5 حتى تتاح لجميع النساء والفتيات في المخيم فرصة متساوية للمشاركة في الألعاب الرياضية وممارستها ومشاهدة الألعاب الرياضية
مخيم غزة هو موطن لنحو 30،000 لاجئ الذين اضطروا إلى الفرار من ديارهم في أعقاب الحرب العربية الإسرائيلية عام 1967
يعد المخيم أفقر مخيمات اللاجئين الفلسطينيين العشرة في الأردن ، حيث لا يتوفر للآلاف كثيرة بطاقات هوية رسمية وبالتالي لا تتوفر لهم فرص عمل أو رعاية صحية. تتحمل النساء والأطفال وطأة التحديات والمخاطر المرتبطة بالتشرد

This is how the Team will take action for their Goal
Practise and learn to play football and recruit women and girls from the camp to join the team and practise sessions.
Secure coaches who will commit to training our team.
Lobby male members of our families, of our community, and the camp leaders, to allow women and girls to access the only community center and sports facility in the camp that today remains reserved for only men and boys.
Start a support group to encourage community dialogue to help overcome gender inequality and start an open debate about how to create safe spaces for women and girls in the camp.

سوف نقيس تقدمنا بعدد النساء اللواتي يستلهمن ويرغبن في التعبير عن أنفسهن من خلال الرياضة. مقدار القبول / الدعم من الذكور.الوصول الى وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي وعدد جلسات النقاش وحوارات المجتمع التي نعقدها
How will the Team measure actions impact and reach?
We will measure our progress by the number of women who are inspired and willing to express themselves through sport.
The amount of acceptance/support from male members.
Social media reach and the number of discussion sessions and community dialogues we hold.
The Team's physical activities
Team met and played football more than 5 times, engaged people (on social media) and did 10 face-to-face activities to promote your team’s Global Goal.
Created a safe space to play from one that was previously restricted to boys and men for the upcoming #GGWCUP Jordan and already changing perspectives and gaining supporters. Formed a 43 member women's advocacy committee supporting women's rights to practice sport and rights in general. Trained 50 women in the plumbing profession plus 20 advanced courses and practicing sessions.
Together with Team Reclaim Childhood @rchildhood started weekly fitness training for elderly women and mothers & daughters living in the Gaza Camp.
