Team Laget Interact play for Global Goal 10 Reduced Inequalities
The Laget Interact team is a team from the Interact class at Hald internasjonale skole in Mandal.
The IFES movement (International fellowship of evangelical Students) is a world wide organization with sister organizations around the world. Here in Norway, we are part of NKSS (Norges kristne student og skoleungdomslag).
In the GGWCUP we will represent NKSS! #NKSS!!
We are a mixed team when it comes to nationalities. Two comes from Norway, one from Kenya and two from Brazil. Some of them have played (and still play) soccer, and some are quite new to playing soccer.
We are eager to something about the Inequalities in the world. As young leaders our voices are important for the work of reducing Inequalities!
Why is this Goal important to you?
We play for GOAL 10 because it's heart-breaking to see how unfair this “broken world” has become. We need to settle differences.
Thinking about the work developed by Laget among students, education together with actions in other areas can guarantee effective changes in the reduction of inequality.
We believe it is very possible to connect it to God's word, as the Lord has created us all in His image, all of us are equally worthwhile and we are made to love our fellowmen. We believe that focusing on this goal will strengthen the Laget Interact goal of being a representative of cultural diversity.
Here are some reasons to back up our suggestion: - The increasing number of international students who come to study in Norway every year. - An increase in the number of migrants in Norway. - The existence of many migrant churches across major cities in Norway. (100 of these churches exist in Oslo alone) - Because Laget networks with other IFES movements therefore it will help strengthen mutual understanding among diverse groups.
How will the Team take action for the Goal?
As long as the students are at their intership places, we will ask them to do the thinking part, and slowly also start to planning for the action leading up to the tournament. When everyone are back at school in mid April, we will put all the effort into action :-)
How will the Team measure the impact?
Use social media to reach as many as possible in all IFES movement worldwide. We will share more.
