Team Hasbeens FC play for Global Goal 3 - Good Health & Well-being

We are a team of friends and former players for the Icelandic women’s national soccer team representing several generations.

We have all travelled around the world with our teams with the main purpose of representing Iceland on the soccer pitch, but at the same time always trying to set a good example for young girls who aspire to be athletes.

Why Global Goal 3?

As we are all former professional athletes, good health and healthy lifestyles are topics that are close to our hearts. Especially now, with the pandemic raging, it is even more important than ever to stand together to encourage young people to adopt healthy lifestyles and promote well-being for all.

How will the Team take action for the Goal?

We will enlighten ourselves about the sustainable development targets set for 2030, with special emphasis on the important global goal of promoting health, and we will focus on our areas of expertise where we can contribute: women‘s sports, women’s health and opportunities and facilities for young girls and boys everywhere to adopt healthy lifestyles and pursue goals of athletic achievement.

What is succes for the Team?

Our ultimate goal may not be reached in our lifetimes, but we will celebrate every victory, large or small, whether it is a victory of our own making or a victory won by others pursuing the same goal that we are.

Ideally, by 2030 there should be a general consensus in all the countries of the world that all children and young people, girls and boys, should have equal opportunities to pursue their aspirations to live a healthy lifestyle.

Cheer for Icelandic Team Hasbeens FC and their campaign as a countdown for the GGWCUP Finals Iceland 2021.
