Kemet plays for Global Goal 5 Gender Equality
The reason for choosing the name Kemet:
A number of names have been used for Egypt, "Kemite" is considered the most famous ancient name for Egypt.
Kemet means the Black Land. This name was given to Egypt in reference to the fertility of its land and the silt accumulated on the banks of the Nile after the flood, in reference to the silt deposits on its banks in the Nile Valley.
This name continued to be given to Egypt until the Coptic period.
Reason for choosing the Sustainable Development Goal 5:
Enhancing the participation of marginalized girls in community development and helping them exercise their rights as active individuals by using the sport of football as a main entry point to bring about sustainable social change.
Contributing to the eradication of poverty and the promotion of health, education, protection and well-being for both genders.
Increasing girls’ life skills as an effective strategy to increase societal mobility around girls’ issues, especially issues of violence against women, harassment, gender inequality and education.
Raising community awareness of special, marginalized groups about their rights and their role in community development.
سبب اختيار كلمة كيميت
تم استخدام عدد من الأسماء لمصر، وكان الاسم القديم الشهير لمصر "كيميت".
كيمت تعني الأرض السوداء، وبالإنجليزية The Black Land وأُطلق على مصر هذا الاسم نسبة إلى خصوبة أرضها والطمي المتراكم على ضفتي النيل عقب الفيضان، نسبة إلى ترسبات الطمي على ضفتيه في وادي النيل.
وقد استمر إطلاقه هذا الاسم على مصر حتى المرحلة القبطية. سبب اختيار هدف التنمية المستدامة:
-تعزيز مشاركة الفتيات المهمشة في تنمية المجتمع ومساعدتهم على ممارسة حقوقهم كأفراد فاعلين من خلال استخدام الرياضة كرة القدم كمدخل رئيسي لأحداث تغيير اجتماعي مستدام.
-المساهمة في القضاء على الفقر وتعزيز الصحة والتعليم والحماية والرفاهية للجنسين.
-زيادة المهارات الحياتية لدى الفتيات كاستراتيجية فعالة لزيادة الحراك المجتمعي حول قضايا الفتاة وبالأخص قضايا العنف ضد المرأة، التحرش، عدم المساواة في النوع والتعليم.
-رفع الوعي المجتمعي للفئات الخاصة المهمشة بحقوقهم ودورهم في تنمية المجتمع.
