Team Young Leaders UGGA will play for Global Goal 5 at the GGWCup East Africa
This team will take the torch for Goal 5, because they believe gender inequality threatens the lives of women and children.
Team Young Leaders UGGA believe that a girl deserves to finish school and have a bright future just like the male counterparts: “In rural Uganda, people have a mindset that an educated girl does not attracted enough cows as bride price, so they force girls to dropout of school and send them into marriage as early as 9 years. As soon as the girl develops breasts or goes into her periods she is married off immediately.”
