Why is this Global Goal Important to the team?
Porque el hambre conlleva por su naturaleza al incremento de múltiples problemas sociales y dada la inviabilidad de la forma en la que el mundo produce y consume alimentos, se hace necesario buscar una forma de reducir el hambre en la población de una forma eficiente, saludable y sostenible. Porque una población con "hambre cero" puede crecer, desarrollarse y evolucionar, pues el hambre impide el progreso.
Because hunger leads by its nature to the increase of multiple social problems and given the unfeasibility of the way in which the world produces and consumes food, it is necessary to find a way to reduce hunger in the population in an efficient, healthy, and sustainable manner. Because a population with "zero hunger" can grow, develop and evolve, since hunger impedes progress.
Goal How will the Team take action for the Goal?
Seleccionaremos alguna comunidad vulnerable de la ciudad y junto a ellos estableceremos huertas en colegios y parques, sembrando variedades de frutas y verduras por y para ellos. Fortaleceremos a esta comunidad generando conciencia de hogares y colegios autosostenibles. Capacitaremos y crearemos conciencia no solo a las personas de la comunidad sino también en las personas de nuestro entorno, invitándolos como voluntarios a construir las huertas y compartir con esas comunidades.
We will select a vulnerable community in the city and together with them we will establish gardens in schools and parks, planting varieties of fruits and vegetables by and for them. We will strengthen this community by generating awareness of self-sustainable homes and schools. We will train and create awareness not only in the people of the community but also in the people around us, inviting them as volunteers to build the gardens and share with these communities.

Sembrar 2 huertas comunitarias en el barrio
Lograr al menos 30 voluntarios vinculados al proyecto
4 charlas de concientización y capacitación sobre huertas urbanas
Lograr vincular 20 miembros de la comunidad al proyecto
Planting 2 community gardens in the neighborhood.
Achieving at least 30 volunteers engaged in the project.
4 awareness-raising talks and workshops on urban vegetable gardens.
Engage 20 community members in the project.
How will the Team know your success?
Si cumplimos con las metas propuestas, que son las 2 huertas, los 30 voluntarios, los 30 miembros de la comunidad vinculados y capacitados sabremos que hemos tenido éxito impactando positivamente esta comunidad en el camino por el “hambre cero”.
If we meet the proposed goals, which are the 2 vegetable gardens, the 30 volunteers, the 30 community members engaged and trained, we will know that we have succeeded in positively impacting this community on the road to "zero hunger".
