Global Goal 15 - Life On Land
From Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
This team is a group of sports leaders and coaches who are passionate about raising awareness for the health of the earth and mankind. They have come together from different backgrounds — private sector, government, and sports clubs — to help the world go green by playing for Global Goal 15 Life on Land.
“we believe that a healthy land makes a healthy life, and nation and since we are determent to spread awareness about it we will play for it in New York City.”
This is how the Team will take action for their goal
The players of the team who are leaders of sports in 3 different cities Riyadh, Jeddah, Eastern province is going to focus on spreading awareness through campaigns online and offline.
Ask and encourage people through social media to go to drop off points to drop wast of plastic where a recycling company will come to collect it.
Campaigns at malls and beaches and neighborhood centers to collect plastic waste also to spread awareness of using reusables instead of plastics.
Art piece by an artist using some of the collected plastic that will represent the harm of plastic on land.
Greens participated in "Walk the Talk" event under WHO for Health for All at Central Park on the 22nd of September.
Greens participated at Misk Global Forum panel speaking about SDGs and their importance in our daily life and environment.
Greens has a practice at Brooklyn Bridge at Pier 5 pre the game day.
