Team FC Mosi play for Global Goal 12 - Responsible consumption and production
We play for goal 12 to promote awareness of the importances of our food chain and to decrease food waste.
We want to motivated people of all different ages and walks of life to reduce food waste, as well as raising awareness of this matter among authorities and the public alike.
Why Global Goal 12?
The UK, the US and Europe have nearly twice as much food as is required by the nutritional needs of their populations. Up to half of all foodstuffs produced within their borders today end up in the garbage.
By wasting food we are not just wasting money, but also valuable resources. Every unit of food wasted means more needs to be produced - with all the land, oil and fertilizer use that entails. This leads to a greater ecological footprint as well as higher food prices, ultimately contributing to the bigger problems of poverty and resource depletion.if we continue in this manner, by 2030 we will need two planets to sustain our habits.
Our waste has already threatened our environment and our lives.
We have to make some changes before it's too late.
How will the Team take action for the Goal?
We only have one chance to fix the world we live in - and that has to happen now!
What is succes for the Team?
When we reach Goal 12, we will be happier than ever.
