Team Climate Rangers from HIKMA play Climate Action
Every day at work this team put better health within reach and they help to shape a healthier world that enriches the communities.
In the GGWCUP Jordan the team have chosen to play for Climate Action, because the team recognise the urgent need to act on climate change and to do their bit in reducing energy use and emissions.

كل يوم في العمل يضع هذا الفريق صحة أفضل ويساعد في تشكيل عالم أكثر صحة يثري مجتمعاتهم. في كأس العالم للأهداف المستدامة-عمان، اختار الفريق اللعب من أجل التغيير المناخي، لأن الفريق يدرك الحاجة الملحة للعمل على تغيير المناخ والقيام بدورهم في الحد من استخدام الطاقة و تقليص الانبعاثات

This goal is important to our team because as individuals we feel a sense of responsibility towards our environment and are aware of the urgency of the matter on our future and life on earth. We will support this goal individual and as an organization.”
This is how the Team will take action for their Goal
As a team we will each raise awareness on the dangers of climate change and its causes and effects on our environment and will take action and inspire others to do the same by advocating for daily changes we can implement as individuals to help become more environmentally sustainable by reusing reducing and recycling. We will start in our homes and spread the awareness in our communities and at our workplace. Hikma as a health company, believes that human health is directly related to our environment and so as an organization we have already implemented green initiatives internally one of which is the ‘say no to plastic’ initiative and eliminated the use of plastic bottles and cups in all the office using reusable alternatives. We have also installed solar panels as an alternative energy source in some of our locations in Jordan and replaced our vehicles with hybrid cars and switched from using diesel to LPG to reduce our carbon footprint.
We will keep track of the amount of energy saved and the amount of plastic we reduce and the benefits and monetary gain in relation to that to motivate more people to adopt these green alternatives and inspire our organisation to take on more greener alternative in all its locations/operations worldwide and also inspire other organisations and individuals to do the same.

كفريق سنرفع الوعي حول مخاطر تغيرالمناخ وأسبابه وآثاره على بيئتنا، وسنتحرك ونلهم الآخرين لأخد خطوات لإحداث تغييرات في حياتنا اليومية التي يمكننا تنفيذها كأفراد للمساعدة في تحقيق استدامة بيئية أكثر عن طريق إعادة الإاستخدام والحد من إستهلاك الموارد والطاقة وإعادة التدوير. سنبدأ في منازلنا وننشر الوعي في مجتمعاتنا وفي مكان عملنا. كشركة تعنى بالصحة نعلم أن صحة الإنسان مرتبطة مباشرة ببيئتنا، وكشركة قد قمنا بتنفيذ مبادرات صديقة للبيئة داخلياً، ومن الأمثلة على ذلك مبادرة "قل لا للبلاستيك" واستبعدنا استخدام القوارير والأكواب البلاستيكية في جميع المكاتب وقمنا باستخدام الزجاج كبديل قابل لإعادة الاستخدام. لقد قمنا أيضاً بتركيب الألواح الشمسية كمصدر بديل للطاقة في بعض مواقعنا في الأردن واستبدلنا مركبات الشركة بالمركبات الهجينة وتحولنا من استخدام الديزل إلى غاز البترول المسال لتقليل انبعاثات الكربون لدينا
سنقوم بتتبع كمية الطاقة التي سيتم توفيرها من خلال هذه المبادرات والتغييرات وكمية البلاستيك التي سنقوم بتقليلها والفوائد والمكاسب النقدية المتعلقة بذلك لتحفيز المزيد من الناس على تبني هذه البدائل الخضراء وإلهام شركتنا لاتخاذ المزيد من البدائل الخضراء في جميع مواقع الشركة والمنشآت التصنيعية وفي جميع أنحاء العالم الى جانب إلهام المزيد من الشركات والأفراد للعمل على تغييرات مماثلة
The Team's activities and uniform
Team met and played football more than 5 times, engaged people (on social media) and did 10 face-to-face activities to promote your team’s Global Goal.
Due to COVID we have updated our actions and strategies from our first submission, we had to adapt to the environment, health, and internal regulations, however it has led us to find more impactful and sustainable actions to support our local, and global communities.
We worked to be as creative as we could within the Internal Guidelines. Thank you for helping us find creative alternatives to make a statement and be practical.
Upcycling our used lab coats to make a more sustainable and reusable fashion (Bags, Hats, masks).
