Team SHIFT play for Global Goal 12

Team Shift consists of active and engaged entrepreneurship students.

We are connected through our common interest in creating tomorrow’s sustainable workplaces & our love of being active.

Why is this Goal important to you?

We want to have a positive impact on how we produce and consume goods and resources, at the same time as we reduce our footprints.

How will the Team take action for the Goal?

We aim to create new sustainable solutions that’ll meet society’s challenges and needs – without leaving a huge footprint to accomplish it. How will we do this?

We will develop business models with an equal focus on people, the planet, and profit. Start businesses that focus on reuse and upcycling of materials, exploiting surplus materials, and local production.

  • Elise works on a business idea for using a natural source of degradable materials, and exploiting by-products for packaging to reduce the usage of plastic.

  • Berit works with a business model to facilitate for people to produce their own greens at home, all year round. To minimize waste of fresh herbs and vegetables.

  • Maren works with the cultivation and processing of microalgae for use in the aquaculture industry in a profitable and sustainable manner. Vilde works with developing a scanning technology and VR to minimize risk and waste of resources in the construction industry. To make building and showcasing new projects easier and safer.

  • Katrine studies IT and information systems and wants to develop technology that are more sustainable by reducing the amount of energy needed to run the programs and by recycling the technological devices.

  • Sumeya is passionate about making the textile and clothing industry more sustainable and green. To think more circular about how we consume clothes, and implement a sharing economy approach to your wardrobe.

  • Hanna works with sports technology and creates a tool for professional athletes to become technically better at their sport, prevent damage and promote well-being and a healthy lifestyle.

How will the Team measure the impact?

Measuring our long time goals, will be a challenge in a short time perspective. The main measure is in impact within each field and industry, and in the number of jobs created.

We will work on spreading information in our networks about our sustainable businesses and how we plan to create positive impact on the industries we’re in, and on society.
