Our team is mainly journalists, which is why we believe in the importance of awareness. Awareness doesn't need much, only determination and a united vision, which we have as team members.
يتكون فريقنا بشكل أساسي من الصحفيين ، ولهذا نؤمن بأهمية الوعي. الوعي لا يحتاج إلى الكثير ، فقط العزم والرؤية الموحدة التي لدينا كأعضاء في الفريق
Why this Global Goal?
لماذا قمت باختيار هذا الهدف ؟
Our team believes that Climate action is the most argent among the other goals. The slogan "today is the past, tomorrow is the future" fits our mindset that takes environmental dilemmas facing our globe, in serious manner.

We also believe that our chosen goal can be embedded in the other goals in many aspects.

What is being done by governments is not enough. Many individuals are trying their best to change people's behaviour towards a more green world and we have been witnessing some change, but sadly not close to being enough.

How will the Team take action for the Goal?
كيف سيتخذ الفريق الإجراء اللازم لتحقيق الهدف؟
We are all full-time working females, mostly journalists. Being a part of the GGWCUP will be challenging but definitely worth it. Our team has created an internal code of conduct (ethics charter). This was agreed upon by all team members and a base of our cooperation. After submitting the charter, the team drafted an action plan. We started implementing the plan which includes but is not limited to: meeting every single Friday at 7:30 pm to discuss the progress of the action plan we previously worked on together. Each group member has multiple assignments with deadlines and a guide to implementing these tasks. We have a team member who is responsible for documenting and coordinating meetings and training. The activities that were discussed in the action plan has also deadlines and follow-up procedures. We have so far 5 activities planned, each activity has a different target group: kindergartens, University students, women specifically (mothers), men, restaurant owners, hospital HR, and others. Not to forget our football training days.

How will the Team measure impact and reach?
كيف سيقيس الفريق تأثير عمله ومدى وصوله؟
We are not football players but we are definitely good journalists. The Key performance indicators include: (keep people interested, keeping people informed, keeping people involved, keep people inspired). We believe we have proper methods of measuring impact and reach (real or virtual). The impact will be measured depending on the action plan activities (which include the number of events, social media reach, number of meetings, and number of training). Every action will be traced and documented: including reporting the media about our activities, on social media.

How will the Team know your success?
Numbers, testimonials, and success stories. All indicators will be measurable depending on the action taken. This is led by the Key performance indicators include: (keep people interested, keep people informed, keep people involved, and keep people inspired).
