Team Cancer Fighters play for Goal 3 for healthier and cancer free future generations
Team Cancer Fighters is a group of cancer patients who fight their illness with high spirits and determination to defeat this malignant disease.
Supported by a group of family, friends and people interested in supporting patients, this team has become a group that provides psychological and emotional support among its members because of the impact of mental health on physical health during treatment.
This team is a part of the Cancer Warriors Initiative was established in 2017, and aims to promote peer to peer positive psychological support among patients and recovering patients on the principle of "No one will understand you but someone who has gone through the same experience", in addition to reaching the largest possible number of people in Jordan to raise the awareness on Cancer and early diagnosis and how to deal with patients.

فريق محاربون السرطان هي مجموعة من مرضى السرطان الذين يقاتلون مرضهم بأرواح عالية وتصميم على التغلب على هذا المرض الخبيث
بدعم مجموعة من العائلة والأصدقاء والأشخاص المهتمين بدعم المرضى ، أصبح هذا الفريق مجموعة تقدم الدعم النفسي والعاطفي بين أفرادها بسبب تأثير الصحة العقلية على الصحة البدنية أثناء العلاج
يعد هذا الفريق جزءا من مبادرة محاربو السرطان التي تأسست في عام 2017، وتهدف الى الىتشجيع الاخر على تقديم الدعم النفسي الإيجابي بين المرضى واستعادة المرضى وفقًا لمبدأ "لن يفهمك أحد سوى شخص مر بنفس التجربة" ، بالإضافة إلى الوصول إلى أكبر عدد ممكن من الناس في الأردن لرفع الوعي حول السرطان والتشخيص المبكر وكيفية التعامل مع المرضى

We will transform pain into Hope by working on implementing Goal 3 of the SDGs to have a healthier community that supports cancer patients.”
This is how the Team will take action for their Goal
The team will carry out awareness campaigns in universities and governorates across the country to raise awareness about cancer, its prevention, and educate society about the misusing addictive drugs during treatment.
We will focus on HOPE, not pain, through inspiring success stories of people that have fought and survived cancer.
Promoting a culture of healthy lifestyles in the lives of sick children and youth through sports, recreational and awareness activities.
Using art and drama to deliver awareness messages about good health, methods of protection and psychological support through plays performed by the patients themselves, and composing motivational songs and publishing them on social media.

نشاطات توعوية في الجامعات والمحافظات لرفع الوعي بماهية مرض السرطان والوقاية منه وتوعية المجتمع بكيفية استخدام الادوية المدمنة التي يستخدمها المرضى خلال فترة العلاج والوقوف على الاسباب البيئية وغيرها التي تساهم في زيادة نسبة مرضى السرطان
تقديم الدعم النفسي من قبل المرضى الذين تعافو و لديهم قصص نجاح ملهمة لمساعدة المرضى الحاليين على تخطي مرحلة العلاج
تعزيز ثقافة انماط حياة صحية في حياة المرضى الاطفال والشباب من خلال أنشطة رياضية وترفيهيه وتوعوية
توظيف الفن والدراما من أجل توصيل رسائل توعوية حول الصحة الجيدة ووسائل الوقاية والدعم النفسي من خلال مسرحيات يقوم بادائها المرضى انفسهم وتأليف أغاني تحفيزية ونشرها على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي
سنقيس تأثير افعالنا عن طريق :نحن كمبادرة محاربي السرطان وصل عددنا 100 شاب وشابة من جميع المحافظت. وصل عدد متابعينا في صفحة الفيسبوك الى 110000 متابع ومتابعة. و لدينا ايضا صفحات اخرى على مواقع سناب تشات وانستغرام
How will the Team measure its actions, impact, and reach?
We, as the Cancer Warriors Initiative, have reached 100 young men and women from all governorates.
The number of our followers on Facebook page reached 11,000 followers.
We also have other accounts on Snapchat and Instagram that we will be monitoring so we can track our impact and reach.
The Team's physical activity and uniform
Team has met and played football 5 times - and done 5 face-to-face activities to promote your team’s Global Goal.
Team has upcycled or recycled a minimum of 50 % of the team’s uniform.
