Team Alken Ry plays for Global Goal 14: Life Below Water
We are a team originally with players from the two small towns ALKEN and RY in Jutland, but in this tournament we will twist the name and put speciel focus on the bird also named ALKEN and it's reputation (in danish RY) as it is sadly on the red list of threatened species.
Why this Global Goal?
This global goal is important because we need to take care of the planet we are living on with all parts in mind, also the once not inhabited by humans. Life below water is an eco-system were we can see a huge negative environmental impact, and we hope to bring focus on some of the positive actions we can make to change this.
How will the Team take action for the Goal?
We will make sure to collect trash around the shore area doing the tournament as well as representing the team in attire that supports our global goal in choice of materials and looks.
How will the Team measure impact and reach?
Success would be to make more people aware to clean up and not leave trash or other things along or in the water. Even if it is no their own thrash. The animals can not throw our things out.
