Tisski Becomes first GGWCup Scholarship Sponsor
New Initiative: Global Goals Scholarships
Our work with Global Goals World Cup constantly brings us in contact with amazing women from all over the world, who have dedicated their lives to bettering their communities and brining about social justice and sustainable development. We truly believe in the profound long term impact of connecting these women with each other and with the international community through the power of sport. Unfortunately, some of the most inspiring change makers that we meet do not have the means to travel to our tournaments. And with our very tight start-up budget, neither do we. This is why we have established the Global Goals Scholarships. This allows for a company or a single person to become the patron of a player or a team, and make it possible for them to participate in the Global Goals World Cup. We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to give more players from low-income areas this opportunity to participate in the Global Goals World Cup. Learn more about ways to support our work here
Why an activist women's world cup, and Tissky is a great match.
CEO of Tisski Anna Assana is a great role model for women in the IT business.
Tisski is a technology company specialising in Microsoft Dynamics. Not your usual business for an unqualified, (originally) Essex girl but Anna knows her stuff and prides herself on being a wife of a surgeon, stepmother of two teenage girls, lover of her 3 dogs and CEO of Tisski.
Tisski is above average when it comes to female employees too with 38% of her trusted workforce being women compared to the 26% Tech industry average. Assassa firmly believes that being a female boss in a man’s world only becomes an issue when you make it one, when posed with the question of ‘What is it like running a business as a woman?’ Anna’s response is something to be inspired by:
“Very similar to running it as a man, I would assume, but I am not sure how I would know.
A big thank you from us for showing the way and being the change!
