Happy 10th anniversary
Today is game day in Mumbai, our 10th anniversary for the Global Goals world Cup. We are so proud, touched and wildly exited of everything we have experience since the very first tournament in 2019 during Women Deliver Conference in Copenhagen.
This last week have showed us what we can accomplish when we team up for the Goals.
Our partners - both global as local partners - have once again giving the GGWCup movement so much love and attention, which is for sure passed directly on to the players and their sending organisations, club and friends. Just see this video created by team Forca Goa:
If you are in Mumbai, please join us at at Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School and Jr College in Sector 9, Navi Mumbai.
If you are not in town please cheer for the amazing teams playing today. They are using all their creative energy to push for change. Cheer on our Facebook Page and on the Mumbai Event page.
A special thank you to Sustainable Mindz for bringing the tournament to Mumbai. Sustainable Mindz find unusual solutions to unusual challenges. We experienced it the first time in 2018 when GGWCup was honoured to be invited to part of the commemorative events of The Year of Zayed in Dubai, UEA. And now Mumbai. Such a pleasure. So playful.
We would like to thank you: Sustainable Mindz, SAP Next-Gen, Choithrams, Rouble Nagi, Anjali Shah (PIFA), Saleha Khan, Save The Children India, Worldview Education, Global Goals Advocates, UNDP, Project Everyone, the Danish Embassy in India, Happiness At Work Award, Mumbai Girls Football, Little Sun, Global Citizen.
Before the sun sets in Mumbai tonight the world will have new Global Goals Champions.
Let the 10th GGWCup begin.
We arrived in Mumbai January 28, and every morning we have met with the most brilliant young people. The picture is from a morning session with the 9 and 11 graders from @fr.agnel Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School all doing Global Goals performances and talks. Such warm and beautiful mornings. Thank you for having us. More on @GGWCup
