It's Kosovo's time to shine!

Despite lacking full international recognition, Kosovo possesses true potential and strength. The GGWCUP Kosovo 2025, held in Prishtina, will be a global platform to showcase this.

Led by women, this unique 5-a-side football tournament merges sports and activism. Each team champions one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), taking concrete action to address them.

A young European nation with a population of only 1.8 million, Kosovo makes a powerful statement by hosting this international women's tournament. It bolsters women's empowerment, raises awareness about girls' rights and gender equality, and tackles the multifaceted approach of the Global Goals (SDGs) to improve women's lives. These women and teams don't just compete; they support each other, lead local sustainable development efforts, and amplify their call to action on the global stage.

GGWCUP Host

Bernarda Radoncic

At 6, Bernarda began playing football at a local Danish club. Her coach, GGWCUP co-founder Majken Gilmartin, became her role model and mentored her for 10 years, making Bernarda's dream a reality.

Fast forward, now Bernarda Radoncic has co-founded WeAct (coexistence advocacy), been a podcaster/editor, and made history as the sole female under 30 from the Albanian Diaspora to run for Kosovan parliament elections in 2021. Currently, she serves as the chairman of the Danish branch of Levizja Vetëvendosjë while volunteering for Kosovo's Ministry of Health.

Bernarda holds a master’s in Biomedical Engineering and has balanced a football career (Danish U17 National Team) with studies at Copenhagen University og Technical University of Denmark - DTU.

After coaching and organizing sport activities in the Copenhagen area, and once in Beirut, Lebanon as well, she won "Coach of the Year" with the international known organization GAME, her social impact focus continued.

In 2020 Bernarda founded the Summer Institute for Engineering World Health (EWH) Denmark in Kosovo and founded the Danish branch of the Albanian Medical Federation. Her professional background spans biomedical technician work (Nepal), a dialysis machine project (Nicaragua), and recent work at Sierra Leone's Masanga Hospital.
