This team is a group of architects, designers, communications and office operations from BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, based in New York, London and Copenhagen. They look at how sustainable cities or building can increase the quality of lives. They find ways of designing urban infrastructures as double ecosystems that are both ecologically and economically profitable, and where the outcome doesn’t actually force people to alter their lifestyles to have a better conscience.

PANDORA Jewelry has Bangkok as it is primary production site, and thus when Global Goals World Cup came to the city, it was a great way to engage their employees in the sustainability agenda in a fun and interactive way. The team chose to play for Goal 9 to reflect the company’s commitment to implementing state of the art innovation in their production facilities.

Net Impact Uganda - SDG 8
This team is comprised of young women, with some still at University while others have just completed their university education. They are passionate about addressing youth unemployment especially among the female university graduates and the other girls in our society. This is based on the huge unemployment rates/numbers among women and girls in the country. Net Impact is part of a global community of mission-driven Chapters determined to make a difference. The Net Impact Uganda Chapter is locally organized and focused on the interests of the community.

Team Kopačky (“Football Boots“) - a team from Pilsner Urquell Brewery (Plzensky Prazdroj) This team wants to reduce accessibility and consumption of alcohol among children and young people. They want to support adults and parents to set a good example for their children in how to use alcohol.

Thinking of the Next Generation. SAP NextGen was not only hosting the GGWCUP Finals in 2018 and 2019, they also stepped onto the pitch to advocate for Goal 17 - Partnerships for the Goals. Until 2030 SAP Next-Gen is dedicated to grow partnerships for the global goals at an accelerated pace building awareness and advocacy for the goals in the private and public sectors.

This team is a group of women from the Centenary Bank, one of the leading commercial microfinance banks in Uganda. They play for Goal 1, because they want to see every one of their customers and the entire community empowered to fight poverty: “No one deserves to live under the poverty line. Economic empowerment is important for all.”

Team plEYers for life is a group of colleagues from EY Czech Republic, an Ernst & Young member firm. People from different departments, including a marketing specialist, a graphic designer, a tax specialist, an auditor and an assistant, are coming together to play for the world they want. They are proud to be a part of the GGWCUP because it gives them a chance to make the world a better place, and because it’s a great teambuilding activity.

Every day at work this team put better health within reach and they help to shape a healthier world that enriches the communities. The team play for Climate Action, because the team recognise the urgent need to act on climate change and to do their bit in reducing energy use and emissions: “This goal is important to our team because as individuals we feel a sense of responsibility towards our environment and are aware of the urgency of the matter on our future and life on earth. We will support this goal individual and as an organization.”
