WASTE NO WASTE

Global Goal 12 - Responsible Consumption & Production

Goodbye Throwaway Culture. Hello Team Waste No Waste.

Team Waste No Waste is a group of young women who share a common passion for playing fabulous football while having fun and a commitment to sustainability. They are on a crusade to end the irresponsible consumption of throwaway culture and will be playing for Goal 12: Responsible Production and Consumption.

We dream of a world where waste is reduced, recycled, and reused. And we intend to start with our own team, our football club, and our friends and family.
— Team Waste No Waste from Nørrebro FF

How will the team take action for their Goal?

  • The team will ban single use plastics on their team, specifically water bottles, one of the biggest sources of plastic waste in sports

  • After each game they will meet in the locker room and collect all the waste left behind by themselves and the audience during the game.

  • They use the SDG ball in all games when possible and still bring it along to games when not to introduce the SDGs to other teams
