Global Goal 12 - Responsible Consumption & Production

Team Kopačky will play for Global Goal 12: Responsible Consumption & Production

We're introducing Team Kopačky (“Football Boots“) - a team from Pilsner Urquell Brewery (Plzensky Prazdroj) This team wants to reduce accessibility and consumption of alcohol among children and young people. They want to support adults and parents to set a good example for their children in how to use alcohol.

Did you know - Only one person out of ten is willing to intervene if they witnesses someone serving alcohol to a minor? This team wants to change that and that's why they chose to play for Goal 12 - Responsible Production and Consumption.

Team Captain Bára Šimůnková developed the Respektuj 18 Project which works to promote healthy attitudes towards alcohol by giving minors positive role models of alcohol consumption. Bára is a great organiser, an optimist and a big motivation for others. At the same time she comes up with new and original ideas on how to make the goal of Kopačky and the project exceed its expectations. So the choice for captain is clear!

How will the team take action for their Goal?

  • They created the Respect 18! program in collaboration with Pilsen and the Centre of Drug Prevention and Therapy

  • They have football shirts from recycled textiles designed by social enterprise MATURUS. The printing was done by Green Cat company, which prints with eco friendly colors.

  • They planned an in-house campaign in our company including a competition for the most original fan.

  • They have planned several matches between their partners and employees in Prague and Pilsen.

  • They would like to engage football coaches to talk to children about alcohol and its harmful consequences for children.

  • They would like to engage famous people to help them spread the message of their project
