Global Goal 4 - Quality Education

Education is the key

Team Chica’s Girls will be playing right at home this September, as they’re an organization based and operating in New York City. This team believes education helps create opportunities to change the world and ones purpose in life.

The organization is all about empowering women through education and sports, so they will be kicking ass for Goal 4 - Quality Education.

I want to give these young ladies the opportunity to continue playing a sport they love maintain good health and enhance their skills to become better players.
— Chica Vera, Founder

This is how the Team will take action for their goal

We provide guidance, mentor and tutor our students in order to become high academic achievers. Give them opportunities and challenges to be successful. The athletic program is based on how our students grades.

Although students in the U.S. have access to a free education, they still face obstacles due to their race, ethnic background, and socioeconomic status. In order to combat some of these obstacles, Chica’s Girls is currently sponsoring two students who are both representing target 4.5 (Equity).

Our organization addresses target 4.B (Scholarships) by placing our students in accredited schools and with our goal to eliminate gender disparities in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for all students (including students with disabilities, indigenous peoples, and students in vulnerable situations).

While the U.S. has many resources, they are not available to everyone. We want to do our part to support our students, provide them guidance, and help them gain access to resources that they wouldn’t normally have access to on their own.
