GLOBAL GOALS WORLD CUP

GGWCUP Jordan 2021

GGWCUP Jordan 2021

The first Global Goals World Cup in Jordan hosted by Rise For Good.

The first tournament in Jordan was held in May 2021 in Amman, Jordan. No other GGWCUP roster before has been challenged by a year like 2020 - and never before have we seen how the teams remained championing the Global Goals when everything closed.

The teams represent a variety of entities including large local and regional corporations, local foundations, Universities, NGOs and teams of women from refugee camps hosting Syrian and Palestinian refugees and refugee’s living in the Jordanian host community.

The best teams for the world

All participating teams are breaking barriers in sports, in their communities and society as a whole. Here are the awarded teams in Jordan:

Teams from across Jordan united in Amman to play for the world

The all-women teams call for everyone to take the ball and support the UN Global Goals.

A GGWCUP is an all-women 5v5 football tournament and to participate each team must adopt and take action for one of the 17 Global Goals. The teams are ranked by how they promote the Goal on and off the field.

The team’s missions are in the goals: Team Fruit Bowl from The Royal Health Awareness Society (SDG 2) , Himmeh w Lammeh (SDG 17) & GAME Jordan (SDG 11).

Meet three teams playing for SDG 12 at the upcoming GGWCUP Amman 2021: Bank al Etihad, IKEA and Leo Burnett Jordan.

Rise For Good’s goal is to mobilize and support individuals and organizations to take positive actions to ensure positive outcomes for community, for society, and for the natural environment in which we live. Their mission is to change behavior by investing in values and identifying the passion and purpose that fuels human potential and fosters positive action.

Rise For Good creates, identifies, and fosters, local and global initiatives in Jordan and the Arab world, that both directly and indirectly promote universal human values among the youth, among the corporations and businesses, within the school systems and within the public and private institutions because they believe that education in values is a key ingredient for changing behavior for good.

We are thrilled to collaborate with Rise for Good and for the first time bring GGWCUP to Amman, Jordan.

At Rise For Good we believe there is no greater value than ‘doing good’. Simply, we believe that each of us are better off when we are all better off.
