GLOBAL GOALS WORLD CUP

Our Partners

GGWCup Partners & Supporters

The GGWCup is developed by the Danish sports organization Eir Soccer, who in 2015 set out alongside with their first partner - UNDP - to use sport as an accelerator for change. Since then they have been creating sports events that inspire women to become champions of the 17 SDGs to help drive progress and change in their communities. Thank you to all our partners and supporters who make this possible. Please reach out to co-founder and Head of Partnership Rikke Rønholt if you would like to be part of building the Global Goals World of Action.

“Danfoss is already active in many public-private partnerships, mainly with the United Nations Environment Program, the UN Global Compact and Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All). This time is different, the Global Goals World Cup really allows for active engagement of employees. “Awareness-raising is the first thing we need to do, to hold our governments accountable when it comes to the implementation of the Global Goals. At Danfoss we are already planning to keep the team after the tournament and replicate it at our Danfoss campuses across the world,” — Birgitte Ladefoged, Denmark. HR Director Danfoss.
“The Global Goals World Cup Tournament is a great example of bringing sport and politics together to create those partnerships that are necessary to achieve our common goals.” — Kristian Jensen, Denmark. Minister of Foreign Affairs.
“Sport is symbolic because it means that you have to participate, you have to go on the pitch when it is football, you have to try and score the goals, and you need to work as a team,” — Helle Thorning, first female Prime Minister of Denmark.

Grundfos brings water to life

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals need all the attention they can get – especially the clean water and climate action goals, which we believe are the most important goals in history.

Grundfos support Global Goals 6 and 13 in particular because we believe that we can actually make a difference in these two areas. With our energy-efficient pump solutions and our extensive experience with water, we can contribute to the global effort to provide all human beings with access to clean water and sanitation.

Grundfos will participate in the GGWCup Copenhagen and do the wave for Goal 6 and 13. Please join the wave here and use #goal6and13.
